Hello to each of you from a very hot and dry area of Missouri!  Yes – It is definitely summer here!

We want to say THANK YOU to each of you who had a part through your prayers and gifts in the April 2022 ANAM Forum in Tempe, Arizona.  Our Forum Project goal of $3,000 was met!  As we reviewed the attendees’ evaluations, it was clear that each one was thankful for the speaker’s relevant presentations, the opportunities for interaction and fellowship, and the special activities and sessions for the ladies.  Already our thoughts are rolling as we seek God’s leading for the ANAM Forum 2023 in Kansas City.

The next few months will include 4 trips for ANAM that will take us to Florida, Michigan, Georgia, Oregon, Arkansas, and Wyoming as primary stops with many other stops in between.   It is time to complete 3 additional 5 Year Reviews of member organizations, participate in a college mission’s conference, visit some supporters and a supporting church, and attend the ANAM Appalachian Regional along with visits with individuals.  Yes, that means lots of preparation is happening in the office to be ready, but we are thankful for the opportunity to serve the ANAM family.

On a personal level, we have been blessed in several special ways these past few months:

God opened the door for us to purchase a “new to us” Dodge Caravan just before our trip in April to Arizona.  It was amazing to watch how He provided in an almost unbelievable way after needing to retire our old van last fall.  What a blessing to travel without car challenges!

We have enjoyed several visits with all 8 of our grandchildren.  During Rodeo Bible Camp, Wes served as the camp co-director and speaker, Esther filled a variety of roles, and Sara and Chaya (Sara’s oldest) served in the kitchen.  That allowed Marcella, Judah, and Asa to spend the week with us, and several days we added in Ruby (Esther’s youngest).  By the weekend, all 8 grands were here and they also came for a quick visit to celebrate Jade (9) and Ruby’s (3) birthdays a few weeks later.  Judah stayed to help Doug with some projects.  Anna, Darcy, and Daniel also popped in a time or 2.

We have been enjoying some time at home this summer focusing in the office and on a few home projects.  Doug had the chance to use his woodworking skills to assist in the addition of a bunk house for interns at Wes and Esther’s farm.  This is being done in conjunction with the Rodeo Bible Camp program.

Just this month we celebrated 44 years of marriage, and yes, 44 years of full-time ministry!  One week after our wedding we moved to our first ministry.  What a journey of faith it has been, BUT GOD has always carried us each step of the way and provided for us through many of you!  THANK YOU SO MUCH for being a part of our prayer and support team!
