Doug & Faith Clark Update June 2018

Thank you!  In March, we shared with you the need of the “Forum Project”.  We were seeking funds to provide a special day for the ladies, the expenses of the opening reception at Cabela’s, and for the refreshments during the breaks throughout the week.  We rejoice that this need was met in full and our attendees received the benefit of your generosity!  Thanks for sharing with these choice servants of the Lord!

The 2018 ANAM Forum in Kansas City was another great week - looking   FORWARD!  We had a wide diversity of sessions and speakers, and the Lord used all of them to challenge and instruct our attendees. We explored subjects like: “Forward in Organizational Leadership”, “Forward with the Generations”, “Forward in Long-Range Planning”, “Forward in Cross-Cultural Ministry”, “Forward in Loving the Unlovable”, “Forward through Diversity and Reconciliation”, and “Forward in the City”.

Several Elisha Initiative training sessions provided resources in “Balancing Policy & People”, “The Dynamics of Technology in Public Speaking” and “Why and How I Write”.  Our days are packed with learning, but the attendees always leave saying they have been refreshed and encouraged by being together.  Great Wolf Lodge proved to be a fun facility that attracted several families.  You can “see” more about the 2018 Forum by clicking hereThank you for your prayers for this event!

Our last report ended with letting you know that Faith’s Dad had learned that his cancer had spread and he was given 6 months to a year to live.  Because of this, Faith has made several trips to Pennsylvania, and our girls were able to visit their Grandpa and Grandma.  His time was much shorter and on May 16, he entered the presence of the Lord.  We say Thank you to all who visited him and Mom during his final days, who attended the visitation and the funeral, who sent cards and notes, who continue to assist - who are the body of Christ to her family during this time. Thank you!

The family has designated ANAM as one of the recipients for memorial gifts.  If you are interested in donating, the funds will be applied to the Elisha Initiative - our project for developing and encouraging leaders.  Memorial gifts can be mailed to the ANAM Business Office - the address is noted below.

We will be traveling quite a bit during the next several month as we represent ANAM and lead a workshop at the IFCA International Convention, visit member and non-member missions, attend and participate in the ANAM Appalachian Regional, lead the 5 Year Review for a member, and participate in the ANAM board meeting.  In addition to ANAM travels, Faith and her brother are busy helping their mother with personal matters as well as closing down a small business so we will be keeping the highways warm and building up air points!  Thank you so much for your faithful prayers and financial support for us.

This past week, we had the opportunity to connect with our girls and their families.  This happened during Rodeo Bible Camp.  Our home has become the “hangout” for grandchildren while their parents help with the camp.  Camp attendance set a new record of 112.  We’re thankful for what God has done with a vision that began 9 years ago and continues to reach cowboys and cowgirls for Christ.  Lots of pictures are available on Facebook - Trail To The Cross.

THANK YOU AGAIN for all of your love, prayers and concern over these recent months, along with the faithful gifts of support.  God continues to use many of you to display His goodness in our lives daily!
