Missions in North America

anam logoDr. Earl Parvin is a graduate of Houghton College with a Bachelor’s degree; Columbia International University Graduate School of Missions with a Master of Arts degree; Ashland Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree; and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School with a Doctorate. Following graduation, he and his wife served as foreign missionaries in Pakistan with TEAM. He then was invited to join the faculty of Appalachian Bible College as a missionary in America. As the Associate Director of Berean Mission, he supervised 14 fields at home and abroad.

During his 21 years as Chairman of the Missions Department of the college, he traveled extensively worldwide, visiting missionaries on their respective fields of service. In North America, study trips were made to numerous Indian Reservations, ethnic communities across the country, and the religious shrines of the world’s non-Christian religions established here. This research culminated in the compilation of the NORTH AMERICAN MISSIONS HANDBOOK, which contains a listing of 600 mission organizations working in North America, and the writing of MISSIONS USA, published by Moody Press. The book was then rewritten and published under the title, MISSIONS IN NORTH AMERICA. The book continues to be a work in process and is regularly updated. Follow this link to view the online version of MISSIONS IN NORTH AMERICA.

Dr. Parvin was the Executive Director of the Association of North American Missions and then Associate Director until his retirement.missions USA
